Athletic Assessment

An important part of any responsible training program, a athletic assessment objectively measures your current level of athleticism. Without an effective athletic assessment, growth cannot be accurately measured. We believe in SPARQ rating all of our athletes. S.P.A.R.Q. is a acronym for Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction & Quickness. The S.P.A.R.Q. combine will show us your overall speed, agility, explosiveness, power and endurance.

Strength Training
We will guide you through a program that will develop functional strength, power and increase endurance and flexibility. We ensure that workouts don't get repetitive or boring. We will work with you to achieve maximum results while training specific movement patterns instead of muscle groups. We will combine weights, sport specific conditioning drills, Olympic lifts and nutrition to give you optimum results. For purposes of strength training,
athletes must be at least 12 years of age.
Speed Training
Power = Stride Length + Stride Frequency = SPEED!

Now of course it's a little more complicated than that (form, first step explosion, leg strength, etc.) but these two things are at the pinnacle of speed.
Too often individuals get confused with conditioning and speed development. Conditioning will only get your athlete in better "shape"!
Arguably the biggest myth in all of sports is that you can’t coach speed or teach athletes how to run faster or make serious improvements to their agility and change of direction quickness. Now all the success of the athletes on a typical team is dependent on learning sport specific skills instead of developing the foundation of success in almost every sport, for every athlete: SPEED.
Tracking Results
An important part of the process is tracking results. To maximize your progress, we need to continually monitor and adjust your program. This cannot be done effectively without proper monitoring and ongoing assessments. We can continually tailor your program so that you are getting what you need to achieve your goals.
Ongoing Training and Support
We will show you techniques to improve your speed, strength and endurance for in-season and the off season, because we all know that championships are built in the off-season. You will learn valuable techniques that will carry you on to what ever your "next level" is.
